GUANTÁNAMO, February 2 (Rafael Fonseca Ochoa, ASPIC) - Ex-political prisoner Francisco Correa Delgado, a member of the Unitary Council of Cuban Workers in this province, was fired from his job in December for "having a police record of illegal exit from the national territory."
In a meeting called by the administration of the Municipal Flour Company, Administrator Ana Mullet accused Correa of being a CIA agent, and of consorting with people associated with counter revolutionary organizations. The secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba local chapter, Juana Iris Chibás,
told workers that "elements like Correa Delgado, with a record of illegally leaving the country can not hold jobs where food for the population is manufactured."
The director of Municipal Flour, Lorenzo Guerra Basulto, fully approved the statements made to justify excluding Correa Delgado from the means to earn a living for his family. The ex-political prisoner was a warehouseman.
