AP Corrects Cuban Boy Story

HAVANA, 8 (AP) - In a Feb. 3 story from Havana, The Associated Press incorrectly quoted Ricardo Alarcon, president of Cuba's National Assembly, as saying that Sister Jeanne O'Laughlin dined with the Miami relatives of Elian Gonzalez after offering her home for a meeting between the boy and his grandmothers.

In fact, Alarcon said that the nun had prepared a meal to be held at her Miami Beach home for all the participants in the meeting, but the grandmothers refused to sit down with the Miami relatives and the meal was never held.
