tobacco fields, new cases appear.
Another 32 affected high school students were reported in the area of
Ivirico (6 km south of Pinar del Rio), suffering from the same symptoms (nausea,
vomiting, dizziness, dehydration and fatigue). They all study at the Federico
Engels vocational school, where they are required to do farming labor.
Up until Wednesday 23, 16 students reamined hospitalized.
The symptoms are also affecting tobacco farm workers.
The educational and health authorities maintain absolute silence over this
situation.
