Cuban dissident's home stoned
SANTA CLARA, Cuba, July 15 (www.cubanet.com)
- Dissident José Rivero Monteagudo
said he was reading when his house was showered
with rocks on the eve of the tenth anniversary
of the sinking of the "13 de marzo"
tug.
"This is the fourth time that there's
been this type of political maneuver intended
to intimidate me and limit my opposition
activities," said Rivero, a member
of the Democratic Solidarity Party.
Rivero, 52, said he saves the rocks that
are thrown at his house by paramilitary
bands.
