Youth knifed in street brawl

RANCHUELO, Cuba, January 18 (Félix Reyes Gutiérrez, Cubanacán Press / www.cubanet.org) - A young Ranchuelo man ended up in hospital as a result of knife wounds received in a street brawl January 13.

The man, known by the street name of Carapacho, was taken to the Arnaldo Milián provincial hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery. Police arrested his assailant.

Eyewitnesses said a discussion that started at the centrally-located Prado developed into a brawl that spilled onto Ramiro Lavandero Street, where the knifing occurred.
